about

On September 17, 1992, two orcas were found “stranded” on a beach in Argentina. The two orcas had been rescued and were brought to Mundo Marino.

The younger male was named Kshamenk and the other one was nick named – due to his size – Father of Kshamenk, although it was not known if he was Kshamenk’s father.

Unfortunately the big male died the same day at Mundo Marino. The park never announced the cause of his death. After the “pretended” rescue action, it was proven that the orcas were forced to strand to be captured for marine parks after.
